경상북도는 대구시와 공동으로 현지시간 5일부터 7일까지 미국 라스베가스 컨벤션센터에서 열리는 세계최대 가전전시회인 ‘CES 2022’에 대구·경북 공동관을 운영한다고 4일 밝혔다.
세계 3대(CES, MWC, IFA) 글로벌 IT 전시회 중 하나인‘CES’는미국 소비자기술협회(Consumer Technology Association)가 주관해매년 미국 라스베이거스에서 열리는 세계 최대 규모의 가전전시회이다.
참고로 세계 3대 글로벌 IT 전시회는?CES(Consumer Electronics Show 첨단기술 IT 세계최대가전전시회), ?MWC(Mobile World Congress 세계최대 모바일 전시행사), ?IFA(Internationale Funkausstellung 유럽최대 가전 박람회)를 말한다.
주최 측인 CTA는 CES 2022 주요 키워드를 ▷디지털 건강 ▷푸드테크 ▷미래 모빌리티 ▷대체불가능한 토큰(NFT·블록체인기반 디지털 토큰) ▷스마트 홈 등을 제시했다.
이번 전시회에서 경북은 공동관 15개사, 유레카관(스타트업) 3개사로 18개사, 대구는 공동관 22개사로 총 40개사가 참여하며 참여기업들은 지난 7월 공모를 통해 선발됐다.
특히, 스타트업 전시 공간인 유레카관에 참가한 3개사는 주최측인 CTA의 심사(첫제품, 혁신성 등)를 거쳐 혁신과 창의적인 기업으로인정받아 선발됐다.
또 참가기업 중 홈세라(대표 양정희) 미니건조기 ‘에어로데이지’와 인핸드플러스(대표 이희원)‘복부관리를 위한 스마트워치’는‘CES’의 꽃이라고 할 수 있는 ‘CES 2022 혁신상’을 수상하며 경북기업의 기술력과 아이디어가 증명됐다.
경북도는 지난 ‘CES 2019’에서 지역기업의 해외시장 진출 기회 마련을 위해 대구시와 상생협력하기로 협의했다.
그 일환으로 대구·경북 공동관을 2020년 처음 운영했으며 2021년에는 온라인으로 운영되면서이번이 두 번째이다.
경북도는 오미크론 확산 우려로 행사기간 축소(당초 4일→3일), 방역수치 강화 등으로 참가기업 중 직접 부스운영이 어려운 기업을 위해 현지 통역원과 온라인 기업상담 등을 병행해 운영했다.
이철우 경북도지사는 “2년 만에 오프라인으로 열리는 CES 2022에지역기업들이 어려운 상황에도 끝까지 참여해 준 것에 감사하다”라면서, “4차 산업혁명시대에 생존은 협력과 연결로 변화와 혁신을 이끌어 가야된다. 대구와 함께 올해 지역기업들이 다시 도약할 수 있도록 지역경제 대전환의발판을 마련하겠다”고 밝혔다.
